Our cabin, Karkelo, provides guests with a peaceful retreat that showcases the natural beauty of Lapland. Perfect for lasting memories and enchanting experiences, no matter the season.

Rooted in Lapland

Karkelo is a construct of Kelo logs. Kelo trees and cabins are part of Finland’s iconic national heritage.

In a natural Lapland forest, a pine can live to be over 800 years old, then stand as a kelo for the same period.

Family layout

Spacious living room, two bedrooms and a loft cater accommodation well suited for families.

Bed rooms have two double beds and one single. On the loft, you can find four single beds.

Comfort for quality living

A Home Away from Home: modern day comfort, designed for your ultimate relaxation during your stay.

This air conditioned cabin portrays among other things a classic soapstone fireplace, flat screen tv, bluetooth audio as well as a 300Mb/s 5g broadband wifi.

Recently renovated kitchen will stone surfaces and modern equipment caters for delicious meals for those keen to cook at home.

A dinner table for eight guests complements the kitchen in the adjoining living room.

Electric sauna and well-equipped bath-room area

A spacious sauna, a must-have for all Finnish cabins

The bath-area of the cabin portrays also a shower, toilet, dressing room, a laundry washer as well as a drying cabinet for sportswear.

This area of the cabin also includes it's own entrance to the outside.

Additional amenities and equipment

Karkelo provides convenience for those arriving with vehicles. The cabin has a heater socket for cars as well as electric vehicle charging up-to 3.6kw/h.

For those keen to explore the cabin surroundings, there are also two pairs of snow-shoes, two kick sleds and winter fun equipment for children.
